A trio of NSW standouts have been chosen to represent Australia at the 2025 Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship in Dubai this October.
Kayun Mudadana (NSW Golf Club), Declan O’Donovan (Avondale Golf Club) and Jye Halls (NSW Golf Club) will all make their debut in one of world amateur golf’s most prestigious events, to be played at Emirates Golf Club’s famed Majlis Course from 23–26 October.
Widely recognised as one of amateur golf’s most significant championships, with the winner securing prized invitations to both The Masters and The Open Championship. NSW’s Harrison Crowe etched his name into history with victory in 2022.
All three NSW players come into the championship in excellent form.
Reigning adidas Australian Amateur champion Jye Halls showed nerves of steel earlier this year with a brilliant closing round at Commonwealth Golf Club to secure the national title.

Declan O’Donovan heads to Dubai fresh off the biggest win of his career at the Canadian Men’s Amateur, adding international success to a growing list of domestic titles.
Meanwhile, Kayun Mudadana has been one of Australia’s most consistent performers on the global stage, highlighted by a third-place finish at the Scottish Men’s Open and another top-10 at the Brabazon Trophy.
They’ll join Queenslanders Harry Takis, Billy Dowling and Chase Oberle to form a formidable Australian squad chasing the country’s third title in four years.
