Women’s NSW Sand Greens Championship

The 2023 Women’s NSW Sand Greens Championship is heading to Walcha Golf Club, set in the pasture wonderland of New England just minutes from the township of Walcha – one hour east of Tamworth and 3/4 hour from Armidale.

The Championship is open to female amateur golfers with a GA handicap of 54.4 or under. It is played over 36-holes stroke play, 18-holes on the first day and 18-holes on the second day.

The Championship includes scratch and nett event over two divisions and incorporates a scratch and nett teams event.

Teams Events

SWLGA Bowl (Scratch)

Teams of two or three players, from the same Country District Association or Club. A player may be nominated in ONE (1) team only.
In each 18-hole round, the total of the two lowest scratch scores of each team shall constitute the team score.
The team with the lowest team scratch score for the 36-hole event shall be the winner.

RLGA Jug (Nett)

Teams of two or three players, from the same Country District Association or Club. A player may be nominated in ONE (1) team only.
In each 18-hole round, the total of the two lowest nett scores of each team shall constitute the team score.
The team with the lowest team nett score for the 36-hole event shall be the winner.
