Walgett District Sporting Club is in the Outback NSW town near the junction of Namoi and Barwon Rivers. The Club is located on the corner of Fox and Montkeila Streets, Walgett. The golf course is located along the Namoi River, next to the club house.

It has an 18 hole golf course, two Tennis Courts two Bowling Greens, and live entertainment on Friday & Saturday Nights. The Sportos Bistro is open Tuesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner.

Walgett is the northern gateway to the Darling River Run, a fascinating journey that takes in stunning landscapes and rich history.

There are plenty of other things to do in Walgett. Relax at the free Walgett Artesian Bore Baths, where water springs from the Great Artesian Basin at a naturally-heated temperature of around 42C.

It takes about eight hours to drive to Walgett from Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane. Alternatively, you can fly to Moree, which is 2.5 hours’ drive away. Four-wheel drive cars are recommended for unsealed roads and national parks.
