Super Senior Pennant

Super Senior Pennant is supported by Golf NSW and is governed by an autonomous committee. All competition enquiries should be directed to the competition organisers.

Super Senior Pennant is aimed at providing team matchplay competition golf for those aged 65 and over.

Supported by Golf NSW, the independently run competition takes place throughout the week at participating clubs across the Lower & Mid North Coast, the Hunter, Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, Illawarra, and the Sydney Metropolitan areas.

The format is teams of eight (8) men that play matchplay off scratch and who are 65 years of age or older. 

Participating clubs divide into zones and districts for round-robin competitions. At the end of the round-robin, the two best teams from each division play off in a seeded knockout finals series.

The team that remains unbeaten through the knockout rounds of the Finals are crowned the NSWSSGA Champion.

2023 Super Seniors Pennant Season

Play in the 2023 Super Senior Pennant competition commenced on July 24th.

Five new teams have joined the Super Senior Pennant for 2023, including Beverley Park, Massey Park, Kiama, Bowral and Horizons. Over 900 players registered to take part in this year’s Pennant.

SUPER SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP

The Super Senior Championship was held at Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club on Monday, June 5th 2023, with a shotgun start at 8.30 am. 

Over $3 500 worth of Prizes were on offer for an $80 entry fee, including a game of golf at the renowned Greg Norman golf Course and a two-course lunch. 

Entry forms for next year’s Championship, set down for May 8th, 2024, will be on the Super Senior website shortly under “FORMS.” 

Participants must be over 65 years of age on the day to be eligible.
