The winning team from each divison go on to compete against other division winners in quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final.
The overall metropolitan winner will then compete in a state-final series against the teams from District Golf Associations around NSW to find the overall State Junior Pennant Champion.
First held in1953, the Junior Pennant became the second event on the NSW Golf Association Calendar for Juniors after the Junior Championship, with Bankstown Golf Club the first official recorded winners.
In 2018, almost 70 years later, Bankstown again captured the title over Long Reef at Muirfield Golf Club.
