Sporting Schools Program
Golf NSW, Golf Australia and the PGA are excited to introduce to school sport the MyGolf program through the Australian Sports Commission’s Sporting Schools initiative. This Federal Government program will engage over 850,000 children across Australia, making it the largest school-based participation program in the country. Partnering with 32 national sporting organisations (NSOs), Sporting Schools offers students opportunities to participate in various sports before, during, or after school.
The MyGolf Sporting Schools program introduces children to golf through fun and engaging games and activities tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Running over four weeks, the program provides a solid introduction to golf within the school environment, with an optional fifth week held at a local golf club or facility to further enhance the experience.
Local golf clubs are encouraged to participate by registering community instructors to deliver the program at schools or inviting schools to visit their club. Clubs can also provide schools with information on how students can continue their golfing journey with MyGolf beyond the Sporting Schools program.
