These are to be read in conjunction with the Golf NSW Standard Conditions for Events Run by Golf NSW, the Golf NSW Code of Conduct and the Golf NSW Hard Card.
These Terms of Competition apply to the following tournaments:
- Queanbeyan Open
- South Coast Open – Mollymook GC
- The Murray Open – Murray Downs G&CC
- Tweed Coast Open – Coolangatta & Tweed Heads GC
- Upper Hunter Open – Muswellbrook GC
- Western Open – Dubbo GC
COVID-19
Players are at all times to adhere to the Health Directives as outlined by the NSW Government.
The PGA, at its ultimate discretion, may refuse entry into the tournament or withdraw a player from the tournament should circumstances exist whereby there is a risk of COVID-19 infection or transmission.
Individuals who are required to isolate, or are showing symptoms, or are awaiting COVID-19 test result must not attend the venue and must withdraw as soon as practically known.
COVID 19 PLAYER REQUIREMENTS
Please note all players/caddies and partners names/emails & phone numbers will be provided to the club and held confidentially for 28 days as per NSW Health Guidelines.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Day 1 – Tournament Pro Am & Practice Rounds
Day 2 – Round One – Random Draw
Day 3 – Final Round – Seeded Draw
TOURNAMENT PRO AM & PRACTICE ROUNDS
As a condition of entry all players must make themselves available for the Tournament Pro Am on Day 1.
The PGA will post the list of players participating in the Pro Am including reserves not less than 5 days prior to the event.
FIELD CAPACITY
The tournament field with be made up of a maximum 80 professional and 40 amateur players. In the event of amateur entry applications exceeding the number of places available in the Tournament, applications from those higher handicap competitors will be decided by a handicap ballot. Unsuccessful applicants will be informed without delay and given the opportunity to compete if withdrawals subsequently occur. Monies received from balloted entrants, who do not subsequently compete, will be refunded in entirety.
ENTRY FEE
The entry fee for amateurs is $100.
HANDICAP LIMIT
Eligible players are male and female amateurs whose GA Handicap (or overseas equivalent) does not exceed 4.4 strokes at the time of entry.
QUALIFYING INFORMATION
On completion of the tournament, the leading three eligible players (excluding those who hold a current PGA Tour of Australasia Exemption Category of 11 or higher) who finish in the top 15 and ties shall qualify for the NSW Open. Should ties exist; a count back system will be used to separate ties.
AMATEUR PRIZES
The leading three amateurs will receive cash prizes to the value of:
Leading Amateur – $300
Runner Up Amateur – $200
Third Placed Amateur – $100
LIVE SCORING
It is a compulsory requirement of the NSW Regional Open Series that live scoring is conducted via the PGA App for all groups. This scoring method is for public viewing and does not replace the Score Card for competition purposes.
FEMALE PARTICIPATION
Female players may enter the Regional Open series under the conditions and eligibility outlined for PGA Pro-Am Tournaments and eligible amateurs. Female players may play off the womens tees (which will be approximately 85% of the length of the men’s course) for the amateur prizes only or alternatively play off the Tournament tees for the NSW Open exemption positions and amateur prizes.
DRESS REQUIREMENTS
In accordance with minimum standard of dress during a tournament as per the PGA Membership Regulation, i.e. neat casual/golf attire, no denim, Standard of Dress and Appearance 10.3.1.
