These are to be read in conjunction with the Golf NSW Standard Terms of Competition for Events Run by Golf NSW, the Golf NSW Code of Conduct and the Golf NSW Hard Card.
Should a conflict occur between the Terms’ of Competition, then the Terms of Competition outlined on the entry form take precedence.

1. Championship Procedure
1.1 The Championship will be stroke play over 36 holes at Walcha Golf Club over two days. Day 1 – 18 holes, Day 2 – 18 holes. Players are required to enter for both days.
1.2 The overall scratch winner will be the Women’s NSW Sand Greens Champion and will receive the Championship Medal and have their name engraved on the Championship Trophy.
1.3 TIES: In the event of a tie in the Sand Greens Championship a sudden-death play-off will be played, should time permit.
Ties in all other events will be determined by the Golf Australia Method of countback.
2. Championship Committee
2.1 The Championship Committee will comprise the Chair of the Golf NSW Golf Committee and Golf NSW Events Manager or their appointees.
2.2 In the absence of a full Championship Committee, such members that may be present at the time may give a decision, and any decision so given will be deemed to be a decision of the full Championship Committee.
3. Rules of Play
3.1 The Rules of Golf, as adopted by R&A Rules Limited, will apply, together with Golf NSW Hard Card, and any additional Local Rules as drawn up by the Championship Committee.
4. Entries
4.1 Handicap: Eligible players are female amateurs whose GA Handicap (or overseas equivalent) does not exceed 54.4, or who are an exempt player as detailed in Condition 4.5. No reductions or increases in handicap will be made during the Tournament. Players will compete for the duration of the Tournament on the handicap current on the first day of play.
4.2 Age: n/a.
4.3 Entry Fee: The entry fee applicable for this event is $80 per player.
4.4 Ballot: In the event of entry applications exceeding the number of places available in the Championship, applications from those higher handicap competitors will be withdrawn. Unsuccessful applicants will be informed without delay and given the opportunity to compete if withdrawals subsequently occur. Monies received from balloted entrants, who do not subsequently compete, will be refunded in entirety.
4.5 Exemptions: There are no exemptions for this Championship.
4.6 Withdrawal: Upon withdrawal, as detailed in the General Conditions for Golf NSW State Events, any applicable refund will incur a deduction of a $10 processing fee.
5. Motorised Transport
For entrants requiring use of motorised transport for medical reasons, cart use can be secured by providing Golf NSW with a medical certificate or letter from their club and booking a cart through the pro shop. Once entries have closed (approximately 2 weeks prior to the event), all other entrants are welcome to book any remaining carts through the pro shop. Golf NSW takes no responsibility for the availability of golf carts and all bookings must be made through the pro shop.
6. Practice
6.1 Practice rounds prior to the Championship are at the discretion of the host club.
7. Registration
7.1 Competitors MUST register 30 minutes before their starting time on each day of play.
8. Pace of Play
8.1 See the Golf NSW Hard Card for Pace of Play policy.
9. Prizes
9.1 Competitors may win only one prize. Prizes will be awarded in order based on value. If two prizes are of the same value, the scratch prize will take precedent.
10. Golf NSW Hard Card
10.1 The Golf NSW Hard Card will be in effect throughout this event.
11. Teams Event
11.1 The RLGA Jug will be played concurrently with the NSW Sand Greens Championship. Regardless of handicap, players may enter together as a Team – Teams of 2 or 3 players, from the same Country District Association or Club. A player may be nominated in ONE (1) Team only. In each 18-hole round, the total of the two lowest nett scores of each team each day shall constitute the daily Team Score. The team with the lowest team nett score for the 36-hole event shall be the winner.
11.2 The SWLGA Bowl will be played concurrently with the NSW Sand Greens Championship. Regardless of handicap, players may enter together as a Team – Teams of 2 or 3 players, from the same Country District Association or Club. A player may be nominated in ONE (1) Team only. In each 18-hole round, the total of the two lowest scratch scores of each team each day shall constitute the daily Team Score. The team with the lowest team scratch score for the 36-hole event shall be the winner.
11.3 For both events, the Golf Australia Countback Method will be used should there be a tie, using combined Team Scores.
11.4 Entries: All competitors in teams must also complete an individual entry form and pay the individual entry fee.
11.5 Entry Fee: The entry fee applicable for the Teams Event is Free.
11.6 Prizes: Teams are eligible for only one team trophy, in addition to any individual prize won by a team member.
