These are to be read in conjunction with the General Conditions for Golf NSW State Events, the Golf NSW Code of Conduct and the Golf NSW Hard Card. Should a conflict occur between conditions, then the conditions outlined on the entry form take precedence.

1. Championship Procedure
1.1 The Championship will be stroke play over 36-holes at Hay Golf Club over two days. Day 1 – 18 holes, Day 2 – 18 holes. Players are requested to play both days.
1.2 The winner of the 36-hole scratch winner will be the NSW Sand Greens Champion and will receive the Championship Medal and have their names engraved on the Championship Trophy.
1.3Â The NSW Sand Greens Junior Championship will be played in conjunction with the NSW Sand Greens Championship. All participants under 18 years of age at the date of the first round will be eligible for this Championship.
1.4Â The NSWVGA Sand Greens Championship will be played in conjunction with the NSW Sand Greens Championship. To be eligible to compete for NSWVGA trophies, a player must have attained the age of 55 at the commencement of the tournament, hold a current GA handicap, be a member of a registered golf club and be affiliated with the NSWVGA or its interstate equivalent, provided that they have confirmed their eligibility prior to hitting from the 1st tee on day 1.
1.5 The NSW Sand Greens Teams Event will be played concurrently with the NSW Sand Greens Championship. Teams consisting of three male amateur players must be nominated on the team nomination form, which will be available at registration on the first day of play. All players participating in the Teams Championship must be eligible to participate in and entered into the NSW Sand Greens Championship. A player will be eligible to represent only one Club and will be entered only in one team (that being the first team entry received by the Championship Committee). The team with the lowest aggregate nett score from both rounds of the Championship will be the Teams Champions. The scores of all three players will be used.
1.6 TIES: Ties shall be decided by the Golf Australia Method of Countback, with the exception of the NSW Sand Greens Championship which will be decided by sudden death play-off over holes as determined by the Championship Committee. Should insufficient time preclude a play-off then joint winners will be declared.
2. Championship Committee
2.1 The Championship Committee will comprise the Chair of the Golf NSW Golf Committee and Golf NSW Events Manager, or their appointees.
2.2 In the absence of a full Championship Committee, such members that may be present at the time may give a decision, and any decision so given will be deemed to be a decision of the full Championship Committee.
3. Rules of Play
The Rules of Golf, as adopted by R&A Rules Limited, will apply, together with Golf NSW Hard Card, and any additional Local Rules as drawn up by the Championship Committee.
4. Entries
4.1 GA Handicap: Eligible players are male amateurs whose GA Handicap (or overseas equivalent) does not exceed 27.4 strokes at the time of entry.
4.2 Age: There is no age restriction for this event.
4.3 Entry Fee: The entry fee applicable for this event is $80. All entries must be made online through the Golf NSW website.
4.4 Ballot: In the event of entry applications exceeding the number of places available in the Championship (168), applications from those higher handicap competitors will be placed on a reserve list. Unsuccessful applicants will be informed without delay and given the opportunity to compete if withdrawals subsequently occur. Monies received from balloted entrants, who do not subsequently compete, will be refunded in entirety.
4.5 Membership/Handicap Suspension: Any player who has his golf playing membership or handicap at the date of the Contest suspended by Golf Australia, Golf NSW, any Club who is a member of Golf NSW / Golf Australia, or a District Golf Association, is not eligible to participate.
4.6 Exemptions: There are no exemptions for this Championship.
4.7Â Withdrawal: Upon withdrawal, as detailed in the General Terms of Competition for Golf NSW State Events, any applicable refund will incur a deduction of a $10 processing fee.
5. Motorised Transport
For entrants requiring use of motorised transport for medical reasons, cart use can be secured by providing Golf NSW with a medical certificate or letter from their club and booking a cart through the pro shop. Once entries have closed (approximately 2 weeks prior to the event), all other entrants are welcome to book any remaining carts through the pro shop. Golf NSW takes no responsibility for the availability of golf carts and all bookings must be made through the pro shop.
6. Practice
Practice rounds prior to the Championship are at the discretion of the host club.
7. Registration
Competitors MUST register 30 mins before their starting time on each day of play.
8. Pace of Play
The Rules of Golf will be strictly enforced. See the Golf NSW Hard Card for Pace of Play Terms.
9. Prizes
Competitors may win only one prize. Prizes will be awarded in the following order based on value:
A junior may win both the NSW Sand Greens Championship and the NSW Junior Sand Greens Championship otherwise competitors are limited to winning one trophy, plus a teams event trophy.
Trophies will be awarded thus:
- NSW Sand Greens Champion will be awarded the John Lugsdin Memorial Trophy
- NSWVGA 36-holes Gross Winner Perpetual Trophy (the prize voucher will be awarded to the second placed competitor if the winner also won the NSW Sand Greens Championship)
- NSW Junior Sand Greens Championship – Winner
- 36-holes Nett Winner
- NSWVGA 36-holes Nett Winner (the prize voucher will be awarded to the second placed competitor if the winner also won the NSW Sand Greens Nett)
- Saturday 18-holes Scratch Winner

10. Golf NSW Hard Card
The Golf NSW Hard Card will be in effect throughout this event.
