The Terms of Competition – Women’s Coronation Medal, are to be read in conjunction with the Golf NSW Standard Terms of Competition for Events Run by Golf NSW, the Golf NSW Code of Conduct and the Golf NSW Hard Card.  

Should a conflict occur between the Terms’ of Competition, then the Terms of Competition outlined on the entry form take precedence.

1. Event Procedure

     1.1        The Women’s Coronation Medal will be played as follows:

                  The event will be played over 18 holes Stroke Handicap, with the aggregate of the Club’s four players being used to determine the Club’s score.  Two players from each club 
                  will be drawn at each course.
                  Ties: Ties for all events are to be determined by countback using individual or all players’ aggregate scores, as appropriate.

                  The course of the club winning the Coronation Medal in 2023 will be the No. 1 Course and the course of the club finishing in second place will be the No. 2 Course for the 
                  event in 2024. The following exceptions apply: (a) if a club is situated outside the metropolitan area, or (b) the club is a 9-hole course. If a club is not eligible to host the 
                  Coronation Medal in 2024, the third placegetter will be the host and so on.

2. Championship Committee

     2.1       The Championship Committee will comprise the Chair of the Golf NSW Golf Committee, Golf NSW Events Manager, or their 
                  appointees.

     2.2        In the absence of a full Championship Committee, such members that may be present at the time may give a decision, and any decision so given will be deemed to be a 
                  decision of the full Championship Committee.

3. Rules of Play

     3.1        The Rules of Golf, as adopted by R&A Rules Limited, will apply, together with Golf NSW Hard Card (see condition 11), and any additional Local Rules as drawn up by the 
                   Championship Committee.

4. Entries

     4.1        Handicap: Eligible players are amateurs whose GA Handicap (or overseas equivalent) does not exceed 20.0 at the time of entry. Should a player’s GA handicap on the day 
                  of play be above the handicap limit they will play off the maximum handicap for the event. Should a players GA handicap on the day be below the handicap limit they will 
                  play off their current handicap for the event. If a player is unable to play due to unforeseen circumstances, another eligible player may replace a named player.

    4.2        Age: n/a.

    4.3        Entry Fee: the entry fee applicable for this event is $100 per team.

    4.4        Ballot: In the event of entry applications exceeding the number of places available in the event, precedence will be given in order of receipt of entry.  Unsuccessful 
                  applicants will be informed without delay and given the opportunity to compete if withdrawals subsequently occur.  Monies received from balloted entrants, who do not 
                  subsequently compete, will be refunded in entirety.

    4.5        Exemptions: There are no exemptions for this Championship.

5. Motorised Transport

    5.1        For entrants requiring use of motorised transport for medical reasons, cart use can be secured by providing Golf NSW with a medical certificate or letter from their club and 
                  booking a cart through the pro shop. Once entries have closed (approximately 2 weeks prior to the event), all other entrants are welcome to book any remaining carts 
                  through the pro shop. Golf NSW takes no responsibility for the availability of golf carts and all bookings must be made through the pro shop.

6. Caddies

    6.1        Caddies are permitted.

7. Practice

    7.1        Practice rounds prior to the competition are at the discretion of the host club.

8. Registration

    8.1       Competitors MUST register 30 minutes before their starting time on each day of play. 

9. Pace of Play

    9.1       Rule 5.6 will be strictly enforced. See the Golf NSW Hard Card for Pace of Play policy.

10. Prizes

    10.1     The Coronation Medal is to be won by the best aggregate nett score of four (4) players within the prescribed handicap limits entering from the same club.
                 Competitors may win only one individual prize, in addition to the Coronation Medal teams. Prizes will be awarded in the following order based on value

                 Coronation Medal – Winner and Runner up Teams
                 Individual in conjunction: 18 hole nett winner and scratch winner at each course

11. Golf NSW Hard Card

    11.1     The Golf NSW Hard Card will be in effect throughout this event.
