Beresfield Ladies by a Country Mile

Helen Rowett and Marlene Russell hold the Keno State 4BB trophy

The morning started with Coffs Harbour’s weather trying to rain on Beresefield’s pairing parade. But as their tee time approached, the clouds disappeared, the sky turned blue, and the sun appeared to treated the State Finalists to another beautiful day at Bonville.

Helen Rowett & Marlene Russell of Beresfield Ladies GC continued from where they left off yesterday with another impressive round of +8 to blitzed the field by 10 shots with a massive combined 36 hole score of +19.

“Whenever Helen was in trouble on a hole, I was able to score on that hole and vice versa..”

“We are so proud with the win, considering Beresfield Ladies GC in only a small golf club in Newcastle Hunter District.”

Massey Park’s pairing of Dierdre Horan & Yvonne Little came in second place with a score of +9 which would of won them the title last year. Followed by Janey Morrison & Maree Hergenhan from Tathra Beach CC and Sook Yo & Anne Yoo from Strathfield GC. Both pairings had a combined total of +7 to finish tied third.

“What a wonderful event and beautiful venue. We have had an absolute ball being here. Thank you Golf NSW and Bonville Golf Resort for the experience..”

Presentation Dinner will start at 7pm tonight to congratulate all the winners of the 2018 KENO Women’s NSW Fourball State Final.
