After a 2 hour delay, Jan Crichton has won the Women’s NSW Sand Greens Championship. It was a nail bitting finish with a sudden death playoff against overnight leader Cheryl McDonald. Crichton shot a final round of 81, which forced the pair to the 18th.

Walcha’s Cheryl McDonald leads the field by three with an impressive 78 off the stick for the first round of the Women’s NSW Sand Greens Championship. Killara’s Jan Crichton, Margaret Neseby of Coleambally and Sharon Nott of Dunedoo all sit on 81. Barraba Golf Club is the host this weekend with over 70 players travelling to compete in the Championship.
