LIVESCORES: NSW Jnr Underway at Lynwood

NSW Junior at Lynwood GC

It might be six months later than initially planned thanks to Covid-19, but the 2021 NSW Junior Championships are underway at Lynwood Country Club.

Around 180 of the State’s most talented juniors are taking part, with the host venue, Lynwood Country Club hosting the Championships for the first time.

Sponsoring this event first the first time is PING Golf, who have partnered with Jack Newton Junior Golf for both the N.S.W. Junior Championships and JNJG State Age.

The NSW Junior field is littered with NSW and ACT State Junior representatives, with defending champion Jeffrey Guan (The Australian) one of the favourites to take out the Boys title yet again.

Guan will face stiff opposition from N.S.W.team mates Jye Halls (NSW GC), Ali Rachid (NSW GC), Jake Riley (Pymble), Josh Todd (The Australian) and Daley Loumanis (St Michael’s).

ACT Boys Team members Nathan White (Yowani) and Angelo Bourandanis (Royal Canberra) are also in the field alongside the next crop of youngsters coming through the JNJG Player Development Pathway.

Girls defending champion Sophie Yip (Concord) is not defending her 2020 crown due to school commitments, but several State Girls teammates will be there flying the flag.

Charlotte Perkins, Brielle Mapanao and Ella Scaysbrook of The Australian GC will play alongside Rachel Lee (Avondale) as they look to keep the title within NSW, whilst ACT Girls Team Members Silka Solomon (Royal Canberra) and Matilda Sullings (Federal) will also take part.

Central Coast guns Ann Jang (Toukley), Michelle Bang (Concord) and Michelle Moon (N.S.W.) will also look to claim their first major JNJG title.
