More than 200 junior golfers descended on Camden Golf Club and Campbelltown Golf Club over the June Long Weekend for the 2026 Macarthur Junior Masters. Players from across the country battled challenging conditions and strong competition in one of the biggest events on the junior golf calendar.
For the second consecutive tournament, Constance Wang (Avondale) has gone wire-to-wire to claim the overall title at a Junior Masters event.
Fresh off her victory at the North Coast Junior Masters, Wang carried her confidence into the weekend and once again proved too strong for the field. NSW Junior and Women’s State Team member Camilla Kim (The Australian) mounted a spirited challenge, closing to within two shots with just two holes remaining. The pressure was on, but a late double bogey on the 17th hole allowed Wang to pull away and secure a five-shot victory.
Wang fired back-to-back rounds of three-under-par to finish the tournament at six-under overall, an incredible achievement for a 12-year-old. With two consecutive Junior Masters victories already to her name this season, Wang has established herself as one of the players to watch for the remainder of the season.
Concord’s Mirabelle Naaman claimed her second consecutive age division title after narrowly edging out fellow Concord member Jordyn Deen. Naaman posted rounds of even-par and five-over-par to finish one shot clear of the field. Having consistently placed herself in contention, it feels only a matter of time before she breaks through for an overall Junior Masters victory.
Although she fell short in the race for the overall title, Camilla Kim’s impressive performance was more than enough to comfortably claim the Girls 14–15 Years division. Her 15-shot winning margin highlighted the quality of her play throughout the weekend and delivered her first age division victory of the year. Given her talent and pedigree, it is unlikely to be her last.
The Boys Division produced one of the closest contests of the tournament, with Haohua Sun etching his name into the Junior Masters record books with his first overall title. Despite an already impressive résumé, a Junior Masters victory had previously eluded him. Rounds of one-under-par and three-under-par ensured that was no longer the case.
It was far from straightforward, however. With four players sitting within three shots of the lead entering the final stages, the title remained up for grabs. Sun rose to the challenge, producing a bogey-free three-under-par round to claim a two-shot victory and earn his place in the Bonville Champions Trophy.
The Boys 16 Years & Over division required extra holes to determine a champion, with Ryan Hooke (Magenta Shores) and Matthew Xu (Eastlakes) finishing tied at two-under-par. The pair also shared second place in the overall standings, capping off an impressive weekend of golf.
With the two players locked atop the age division leaderboard, Hooke rose to the occasion, making par on the first playoff hole to claim victory and secure his first Junior Masters age division title.
Crookwell’s Jaydan Costello narrowly edged out Ricky Fang and Ethan Pak to win the Boys 12–13 Years division. Costello carded rounds of four-over-par and three-over-par, with his consistency across both days proving the difference. His efforts were rewarded with a two-shot victory and his first age division title of the year.
