Kim Chasing Repeat Glory

The Macarthur Junior Masters returns this June Long Weekend, bringing together more than 200 players for the largest Junior Masters event of the year. Hosted across Camden Golf Club and Campbelltown Golf Club, the tournament has attracted an outstanding field featuring defending champions, state team representatives and multiple Junior Masters winners, promising an exciting weekend of junior golf in the Macarthur region.

All eyes will be on defending champion Camilla Kim, who returns to the Macarthur Junior Masters as the player to beat. One of Australia’s leading junior golfers, Kim has continued to build an outstanding résumé over the past 12 months. A member of both the NSW Junior and Senior Interstate teams, she was named the 2025 Junior Girl of the Year and recently impressed by making the cut at the Women’s NSW Open. Kim also arrives in form after a runner-up finish at the Bonville Champions Trophy. With a proven ability to perform on some of the biggest stages in Australian golf, she will be looking to successfully defend her title and further cement her status as one of the country’s premier junior talents.

Alicia Luo will also feature among the leading contenders this week. The NSW Junior Interstate Team member has already enjoyed success on the Junior Masters circuit, claiming victory at the South Coast Junior Masters while also capturing the ACT Junior and Jack Newton International Sub Junior titles. With an impressive record in premier junior events, Luo will be hoping to add another significant trophy to her growing collection.

Jordyn Deen (Concord) enters the Macarthur Junior Masters in excellent form. The NSW Junior State Team member was the leading New South Wales player at the Australian Junior Amateur, finishing fifth overall, and has since recorded a runner-up finish at the Wagga Wagga Junior Masters and third place at last month’s North Coast Junior Masters. Her consistent performances throughout the season make her one of the key challengers this week.

Adding further depth to the girls’ field are several recent Junior Masters champions. Savannah Webb, Mirabelle Naaman, Constance Wang, Mingming Lee and Jia You have all enjoyed success on the Junior Masters circuit, with Lee claiming three titles over the past two seasons. Their presence further highlights the quality of the field and sets the stage for a highly competitive battle for the Macarthur Junior Masters crown.

Few players enter the Macarthur Junior Masters in better form than Levi Park (Kooindah Waters). The recent North Coast Junior Masters champion has now collected three Junior Masters victories, having previously won the Wagga Wagga Junior Masters and Greg Chalmers Junior Masters. With momentum firmly on his side, Park will be looking to continue his winning ways and further strengthen his standing as one of the circuit’s leading players.

Blake Cranston (Australian Golf Club) enters the tournament as one of the form players in the field. Fresh off a runner-up finish at last month’s North Coast Junior Masters, the NSW Junior State Team member has also recorded a tied sixth finish at the Australian Junior Amateur and went undefeated on debut at the Australian Junior Interstate Teams Matches. With victories at the Fore Golf Junior Matchplay and the Jack Newton International Sub Junior Classic already on his résumé, Cranston shapes as one of the standout contenders this week.

Haohua Sun (Ryde Parramatta) continues to establish himself as one of the most consistent performers in junior golf. Fresh off a third-place finish at last month’s North Coast Junior Masters, Sun has also recorded an 11th-place finish at the Australian Junior Amateur and claimed victories at the Jack Newton International Sub Junior Classic and the Jack Newton Shield. A maiden Junior Masters title remains one of the few achievements missing from his résumé, and he will be eager to change that this week.

The depth of the boys’ field extends well beyond the leading contenders, with several former Junior Masters champions also teeing it up this week. Recent winners Josh Park (Murray River Junior Masters), Shaylan Bennett (Blue Mountains Junior Masters), Harrison Preece (Peter O’Malley Junior Masters) and Beau Cain (Illawarra Junior Masters) will all be looking to add another title to their growing records. With a host of proven winners and in-form players set to compete, the stage is set for another highly competitive Macarthur Junior Masters.

Play gets underway from 7:00am on Sunday morning.
