Three days of golf, learning and community connection were delivered at Rich River Golf Club this year as part of the 2026 Moama Masters event, with students from schools across the region rotating through a purpose-built activation on the driving range.

The covered range bays were transformed into an interactive golf hub across the three days, with students moving through structured activity stations designed to build fundamental skills while keeping energy and participation levels high. The covered bays also allowed the program to run smoothly despite variable weather conditions throughout the event.

A standout feature was the “Lunch Time Launch It” simulator challenge, which generated plenty of excitement and friendly competition among participants. Students tackled everything from full swing shots to target-based challenges, with every participant given the opportunity to build confidence and experience success regardless of their starting point.

For many students, the activation was their first introduction to the game. For others, it provided a chance to develop existing skills and explore pathways into local club programs. Teachers commented positively on the inclusive format and the learning environment created across the three days, with engagement from both students and staff described as outstanding.

Golf NSW thanked the staff at Rich River Golf Club, the visiting schools and the volunteers who helped deliver the activation. The event highlighted the value of collaboration between schools, clubs and regional sporting bodies in bringing golf directly to students and strengthening the pathway between school sport and community golf.
