Craig Tuckwell (Hawks Nest GC) has claimed the 2025 NSW Senior Classic with a final round of 75 at the Avondale Seniors.

After rounds of 73 at The Lakes Seniors and 75 at The Australian Seniors, Tuckwell’s total of 223 was good enough to hold off the challengers of Adam Cornell (Royal Sydney GC), who finished three shots behind at 226.

“Thank you to The Lakes GC, The Australian GC and Avondale GC for hosting this event.” said Tuckwell

“I really enjoy playing these courses”.

David Gannon (New South Wales GC) who was a further one shot back at 227 claimed third place on a countback over Craig McWilliams (Avondale GC).

Overnight leader and 2024 NSW Senior Classic winner Scott Mayo (Coolangatta Tweed Heads GC), dropped back in the field after a final round 81 that took him out of contention finishing in a tie for fifth at 228.

Britton Cross (Pymble GC) who carded the round of the day, with an excellent 71, also finished in a tie for fifth at 228.

Craig Tuckwell and Adam Cornell have now guaranteed their starts in the 2025 NSW Senior Open to be held at Thurgoona Golf & Country Club in late October.
