Sunday has brought the best out of Billy Bridgen and James Taylor.

After holding a two shot lead over Stonecutter’s Ridge duo Allan Ison and Ryan Cadle on Saturday, Bridgen and Taylor shot a very solid 39 points (3 under par) to win the NSW Sand Greens Fourball Championship in 2025. They held off a very fast finishing Narromine pair of Craig Duff and Kale Bock who shot 39 points (3 under par) to finish the two rounds at 7 under par.

Bridgen and Taylor credited there win to the great condition of Cobar Bowling and Golf Club. “This was our first time back to Cobar in years, and we will be back in a heart beat”.

This year saw the inaugural Bruce Reynolds Trophy awarded to the winners of the 36-hole nett competition, Andy Lane and Jamie Barrow from Nyngan Golf Club with a great score of 91 points. Lane and Barrow won by two points over the Barraba pair of Jessie Phillips and Liam Johnston on 89 points.

Golf NSW would like to thank John Carlaw and the whole team at Cobar Bowling and Golf Club for a great weekend!
