Armidale Golf Club has received a $10,000 boost from the NSW Golf Foundation to fund the installation of new safety fencing on the club’s 6th hole.
The project, completed in recent weeks, is already making a difference for members and visitors, reducing risk and improving the playing experience on one of the club’s most popular stretches.
Secretary Manager Natalie Young said the Foundation’s backing went far beyond the funding itself.
“The guidance, expertise and encouragement made a genuine difference, ensuring our submission was as strong and comprehensive as possible,” Ms Young said.
“We could not have achieved this positive outcome without your help.”

The NSW Golf Foundation, the charitable arm of Golf NSW, works to grow and strengthen the game across the state by supporting clubs and organisations with projects that improve facilities, increase participation, and keep the sport accessible for all.
Since its establishment in 2001, the Foundation has supported projects ranging from disaster recovery to junior development programs, as well as providing equipment and facility upgrades for clubs in both metropolitan and regional areas.
For Armidale Golf Club, the grant marks an important step in ongoing improvements to the course and facilities.
“Thanks to this funding, our club is now able to move forward with further important upgrades,” Ms Young said.
“We are truly grateful for the generosity and collaboration that made this possible.”
