Jye Halls has won the Queensland Amateur Strokeplay Championship played at Pacific Harbour and Bribie Island Golf Club, finishing the 54-hole tournament at nine under par.

The New South Wales GC member and State Team representative carded rounds of 68, 69 and 70 to win by a shot over another blues representative, Daley Loumanis of St Michael’s Golf Club.

In outright third on six under par was Jamie Smith of Cromer Golf Club, who won this year’s NSW All Schools Championship at Moore Park and The Coast.

New South Wales’ dominance was evident, with the top seven in the men’s division all hailing from the state. Concord’s Coby Carruthers, Avondale’s Declan O’Donovan, NSW GC’s Jake Riley, and Kade Webber from Stonecutters Ridge all tied for fourth at -5.
