The NSW Senior Open is underway here at Thurgoona Golf and Country Club Resort.
It’s a cool morning and there are plenty of clouds in the sky. the first groups were away on time with several of the marquee players out on course just after 7.30am.

Defending Champion Brad Burns Brad Burns gets his round underway at 7.25am from the 10th tee alongside the legendary Peter Lonard and the United State’s Barry Conser.
Some of the other stars out this morning include Scott Laycock, Glenn Joyner and Scott Barr, who follow the Burns/Lonard Group at 7.35 am, with another marquee group of Andre Stolz, Tim Elliott and Ken Tarling teeing off at 7.55.
Keen for some afternoon golf? The evergreen Peter Senior will feature alongside Richard Green and Victorian David Diaz.
Other groups to keep an eye on include Peter O’Malley, Mike Harwood and Ben Jackson, as well as Jason Norris Guy Wall and the inuagural NSW Senior Open Champion, Grant Kenny.
Spectators thinking of heading out might want to bring a jumper and umbrella, with a chance of rain about, but from a scoring perspective, it shouldn’t creat many issues.
