Spearheaded by the freshly crowned Golf Challenge NSW Open Champion Harrison Crowe, Golf NSW has selected eight outstanding athletes to represent the Blues in this year’s Australian Interstate Teams matches at Sorrento Golf Club on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.
Following a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the revered contest returns in a re-imagined mixed-gender format for the first time.

Four males and four females make up the eight-person teams, and teams will play each other once in the traditional round-robin matchplay format.
This year, two new faces have been selected to compete in the series for the first time after some impressive performances at club and national level: Brielle Mapanao and Hayley McNeill, both from The Australian Golf Club.
The teams are:
Men:
Harrison Crowe
Jye Pickin
Chris Fan
Harry Bolton
Women:
Kelsey Bennett
Belinda Ji
Hayley McNeill
Brielle Mapanao
The Australian Interstate Teams Champion will be the winner of the final between the top two states following the round-robin contests, and in a nod to the history of the events, the States will also compete for separate men’s and women’s and boys’ and girls’ trophies.
Mr Graeme Phillipson, Chief Operating Officer – Golf NSW, was thrilled to announce the teams.
“Each player selected is an extremely talented golfer in their own right, and as a team, they form a powerful squad.
Mr Phillipson added that not only do they possess the talent to compete at the highest level, but the eight selected are also the ideal ambassadors for the State and the sport in general.
“They all wear their New South Wales colours with pride, and uphold the values of our wonderful sport as well.”
The Australian Interstate Teams Matches will be played from 10-12 May on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria at Sorrento Golf Club.
