NSW Senior Amateur Postponed Due To Wild Weather

NSW Senior Amateur weather

Due to the wild weather conditions buffeting the State’s east coast, Golf NSW has postponed the NSW Senior Amateur Championships scheduled at Forster and Tuncurry Golf Clubs on the Mid North Coast.

Slated to begin on Monday, with the predicted East Coast Low likely to intensify and potentially dump up to 200mm of rain in the coming days, officials felt there was no option but to make the call as soon as possible.

With roads already cut across the State and over 280 players from New South Wales, South East Queensland and Victoria expected to play, Golf NSW felt now was the right time to postpone.

“We felt the right call was to postpone the tournament and not see anyone risk their personal safety by travelling at this time,” Golf NSW Events Manager Olivia Wilson said. “We strive to run our championships in the best conditions course-wise, and also felt there was no likelihood of this in these trying times.”

The tournament has now been rescheduled to early November.

Golf NSW will send a full refund to players entered in this event.

Entries for the rescheduled tournament running from November 8th to 11th, will open in early August.

Golf NSW appreciates your patience in these exceptional circumstances.
