Goodwill Plate
Lee Maiden from Queanbeyan Golf Club has won the 2021 Goodwill Plate.
With a handicap of 22, Lee had 83 off the stick, giving her an incredible Nett Score of 61, 13 strokes under the Queanbeyan scratch rating. Lee won the event by a stroke from Liverpool’s Julie Kim, who was 12 strokes under the scratch rating at Liverpool. In third place was Sally Hill from Long Reef Golf Club with a Nett score of 64.
A huge achievement for Lee and Congratulations to all players who took part.
This year 50 clubs participated with 1,960 women competing in the event. It’s great to see so many women getting involved.
The Women’s Goodwill Plate is a special annual competition to raise funds for donation to a Charity recommended by the Board of Golf NSW.
The Competition is an 18-hole stroke handicap event for mid-week and weekend, open to female amateurs who hold a current Australian or overseas equivalent handicap. The State Winner is determined by the number of strokes (if any) the nett result is under the scratch rating of the course on the day of play.
Women’s NSW Bowl
Bonnie Doon pairing of Emily Simpson and Anne-Marie Burg claimed the NSW Bowl for 2021, scoring an excellent score of 52 points to win the event by 2 points.
In second place was Merewether pair Kerry Thomas and Anne Cuskelly with 50 points, and in third place was Pacific Dunes pair, Annette Pardavi and Marilyn Carthew with 47 points.
This year we had 38 clubs participate and 1,254 women compete in the event, which is fantastic. A huge achievement for Emily and Anne-Marie.

The Women’s NSW Bowl is a special annual competition, to support the Women’s NSW Open. The Competition is a 4BBB Stableford event for mid-week and weekend, open to female amateurs who hold a current GA Handicap or overseas equivalent handicap.
