Vale: Eric Kime

Eric Kime of Cromer Golf Club

Golf NSW is saddened to announce that Mr Eric Kime, a life member of Golf NSW and Cromer Golf Club, passed away in early August.

Eric was an active member of the former NSWGA board, contributing in several areas of the sport’s administration, including match and finance committees.

Eric first joined Cromer Golf Club in 1964 and was a very active and supportive member throughout his 56 years of continuous membership, including serving terms as Vice-Captain (1970 – 1971), Captain(1972 – 1973) and as President from 1974 – 1977.

The significance of Eric’s contribution to the sport at the club level and beyond was recognised in the awarding of Life Membership of both organisations.

In addition to life membership at Cromer, Eric was also the club’s patron, and despite health challenges in recent years, he always attended special events to show his continued support.

With Eric’s passing, the sport has lost a true stalwart and a true gentleman.

Golf NSW extends its condolences to Eric’s Family at this time.
