Most players say golf is 90% mental, but who actually works on that part of the game? Is Mindfulness Golf Coaching what you are looking for?
Golf has several aspects you need to work on.
- Physical
- Technical
- Emotional, and
- The mind.
To be the best golfer you can become, you need to address them all, especially how your thoughts and emotions control your play.
Jenny Jones (formerly Sevil) is one of Australia’s most successful golfers and the founder of Mindful Golf Coaching.
A nine-time winner across Australia and Japan during the 1990s, Jones now focuses on helping golfers of all levels find success on the course by addressing the way they think.
“I teach golfers to simplify the sport with their thought processes and understand how their emotions can sabotage their game.
“My simple strategies help golfers to overcome nerves, self-doubt, lack of confidence. This helps them to become more consistent and successful players,” Jones said.
One of Jones’ most recent successes is Murwillumbah’s Lucas Higgins.
“Lucas is a very talented ball-striker. However, he couldn’t achieve the results his game suggested he was capable of.
“He was angry and ready to give it away.
“I began working with Lucas in early 2020, and he is now reaping the benefits of my mindful coaching.
“He won stage one of the PGA Tour of Australasia qualifying school with 13 under par, and since then won two pro-ams, had a second-place finish and multiple top 10’s.
“Lucas’ story is very similar to my own.” she added.
VIRTUAL MINDFULNESS GOLF COACHING
With COVID forcing many golfers into lockdown and travel restrictions making it a challenge to even get to the course, Jones is offering a series of online virtual coaching seminars via ZOOM to golfers across the State.
Best of all, it’s free.
“I know people are struggling in lockdown and want to do my bit to help.
“I love my work, and I know what I teach changes golfers lives and their results.
“I was fortunate enough to have my own’ struggle to success’ story, and it gives me great joy to help other golfers anyway I can.”
