Semi finals of the Men’s and Women’s Metropolitan Major Pennant are set for this Sunday at Riverside Oaks and Stonecutters Ridge.
VENUE: Riverside Oaks Golf Resort – BUNGOOL Course
Women’s Major Metropolitan – Semi Finals
Division 2
- Moore Park vs Penrith: 7:00am
- Lynwood vs Pymble: 7:45am
2019 Runners Up Moore Park will be looking to get the chance to go on better this year. But first they will need to get the job done against Penrith.
In the second semi final, top seeds in section Two Lynwood will take on Pymble. Both teams have tasted semi finals previously and will be looking to win their way into the big dance.
Division 1
- The Australian vs St. Michael’s: 8:30am
- Concord vs Bonnie Doon: 9:15am
The Australian and Bonnie Doon both progressed to the semi finals and were only separate by 1.5 individual points for top seed in section 1. While Concord were too strong in their section with five wins and St. Michael’s claiming second position.
Defending Champions The Australian will face St. Michael’s in the first of the semi finals.
2018 and 2019 Champion Concord will be looking to regain their crown and will face Boonie Doon.

Division 1
- NSW vs The Australian: 10:00am
- St. Michael’s vs Concord: 11:00am
2018 and 2019 champion NSW will come up against The Australian in the first of the semi finals. NSW go into the semi finals seeded one but The Australian are red hot off a 7-0 win over Bonnie Doon in the final preliminary round.
Defending champions St. Michael’s will face Concord in the second semi finals. St. Michael’s had booked their position with a 6.5-0.5 win against Twin Creeks in round five while Concord needed to defeat Mona Vale away to progress.
Division 2
- The Lakes vs Lynwood: 12:00pm
- Castle Hill vs Stonecutters Ridge: 1:00pm
The Lakes and Castle Hill both finished their season off with a win which secured their semi final positions in section 1 and 2.
Lynwood who required to win their final match against Ryde Parramatta to claim section 4 will now face The Lakes in the first of the semi finals this weekend.
Stonecutters Ridge will take on Castle Hill after they had won their section after round 5.

Men’s Major Metropolitan – Semi Finals
Division 4
- Bardwell Valley vs Palm Beach: 7:00am
- Marrickville vs Royal Sydney: 8:00am
Bardwell Valley and Marrickville will look to keep their perfect season’s alive, after they were both dominant in winning their sections and progressing to the semi finals undefeated.
Palm Beach were made to sweat on a result in the other match in their section which secured their semi final birth by 1.5 individual match points. Royal Sydney’s crucial draw earlier in preliminary rounds against Northbridge has seem them progress in section 3.
Bardwell Valley will face a familiar opponent in Palm Beach while Marrickville will go up against Royal Sydney.
Division 3
- Muirfield vs Kogarah: 9:00am
- Dunheved vs Asquith: 10:00am
Muirfield advanced to the semi finals comfortably winning their section with five wins. They will come up against Kogarah who secured top spot in section 4 with a home win against Brighton Lakes in the last round.
Dunheved needed an away win in the last round to snatch section 3 from Massey Park, whilst it was a battle in section 1 between Asquith and Strathfield which saw Asquith progress to the semi finals by two and a half individual match points
Division 5
- Kareela vs Macarthur Grange: 11:00am
- Wallacia vs Rosnay: 12:00pm
After an early loss in round 1, Kareela proved too strong in section 2 and will now come up against Macarthur Grange who secured the best second placed team in division 5 with a 4-3 win at home in the last preliminary round.
Wallacia will be looking to reclaim their spot back in division 4 when they face Rosnay in the second of the semi finals contests. Rosnay finished the season with a well fought draw to claim top spot In section 1.
