Ready to take the Golf Challenge at Concord?

Are you ready to take the Golf Challenge?

Join us on Monday, March 22, at Concord Golf Club for a very special event to tee-off a fabulous week of golf.

Golf Challenge, the naming rights partner of the NSW Open in 2021, will host the first public Golf Challenge Teams Tournament to launch this year’s NSW Open. Golf NSW is inviting participants from affiliated clubs across the State to come along and join in the fun.

The top three teams from the Golf Challenge Teams Tournament will win a place in the Championship Pro-Am on Wednesday, March 24, courtesy of Golf Challenge.

Golf Challenge is an exciting new way to play golf, consisting of challenges rather than 18 holes – the ideal way to enjoy a competitive game of golf in just an hour.

The format is a shotgun start, three-hole Golf Challenge on the Concord course.

Each team comprises three players from your club (preferably one male, one female, and ideally one junior golfer*). All entrants will require a GA Handicap.

(*with schooling commitments, we understand this may not be possible, so we’ll leave the choice of players up to you.)

On the day, each team will play the Golf Challenge as individuals, with each competitor’s score combining for a team score. Competitors will play four fun Golf Challenges during the three holes, including a putting, bunker, and Nearest-The-Pin skills test.

Golf NSW will use the Golf Challenge App to keep track of all the scores, and there will be a live leader board so you can see how you’re faring against the competition.

The tournament will begin at 8 am and take around an hour. Once completed, drinks and a presentation will take place in the clubhouse.

Following the presentation, a group of professionals will take on the Golf Challenge, and participants from the morning field are encouraged to stay on and watch.

TV cameras will be capturing the action throughout the day, so remember to wear matching or fun outfits to increase your chances of featuring in the NSW Open TV coverage across the weekend.

Registration will close at 2 pm on Friday, March 12, when we will randomly choose 18 teams to participate.

The successful teams will be notified by 5 pm and published on the tournament website, https://nswopen.com
