Bundarra Blow the Blues away

The folk at Bundarra Golf Club in the New England District have turned out to ‘blow the blues away” raising funds for Beyond Blue at one of the club’s annual charity days last month.

The nine-hole sand green course was in great condition for the event, the first of the year for the small country course.

Built and maintained by volunteers, the club was in dire need of lawn mowing equipment to keep the course in order, and reached out to the NSW Golf Foundation for assistance.

The club was successful in its application and used the funds to pay for a zero-turn mower.

With COVID striking hard, the mower was in short supply, and the club had to wait a few months for stock to arrive from the United States.

In early February, the mower finally arrived, much to the club’s secretary Denise Goodall’s relief.

“Our course is in tip top condition now after battling for so long without a mower and having only a slasher to use.”

First up for the club with the fairways in tip-top order was the Beyond Blue Ambrose, and judging by the pics, it was a great time had by all.

“We had a lot of donations for our auction for Beyond Blue, and it was a good day.

“We want to say thank you to all at Golf NSW for thier generosity,” Ms Goodall added.
