Applications for the 2021 Golf NSW High-Performance Progam (HPP) are Closing soon.
Despite the challenges of COVID over the last 12 months, there have been several outstanding performances from HPP participants and alumni, none better than Steph Kyriacou’s fantastic win in the Geoff King Motors Australian Ladies Classic in February.
“While it’s been challenging last time for elite amateurs and rookie professionals, the Golf NSW HP Program has had another successful year,” Golf NSW High-Performance Manager Khan Pullen said.
“Steph’s win at the Geoff King Ladies Bonville Classic, subsequent transition to the pro ranks, and amazing debut season, winning the Ladies European Tour (LET) Rookie of the Year Award was extraordinary.”
Other highlights include Nathan Barbieri’s progress, who reached a career-high WAGR inside the Top 50 and recently leapt into the pro ranks alongside fellow HPP squad members Josh Armstrong and James Conran.
Despite limited opportunities for most in 2020, the HPP amateur cohort also received several accolades.
June Song secured a scholarship at Iowa State University, while Harrison Crowe claimed his first major amateur title, winning the Victorian Amateur Championship.
Concord’s Belinda Ji also took out the National Final of the Junior Sixes Invitational at Newcastle Golf Club last month.
“It is exciting to see the players grow and progress through the ranks and go on to have success,” Mr Pullen added.
“I look forward to identifying and working with Generation Next so they can follow in these outstanding athletes’ footsteps.”
Applications close on Friday March 5th. If you have any questions related to the HP program or application process please contact Golf NSW HP Manager Khan Pullen on firstname.lastname@example.org
