Applications are closing soon for the Community Sport Recovery package.
Earlier this month, Golf NSW communicated to all affiliated NSW clubs their eligibility for the grant scheme.
The Office of Sport and NSW Government has committed $12.5 million to the initiative, the Community Sport Recovery Package for Clubs in NSW.
The program provides a one-off grant of up to $1,000 to around 12,500 for eligible local sporting clubs and associations across the State to assist them with the resumption of community sport.
Grassroots Sport Fund
All eligible NSW Clubs who apply should receive a one-off payment of up to $1,000 through the Community Sport Recovery Package (Grassroots Sport Fund).
All applications and invoiced must be received and processed no later than Thursday, July 30th.
As the State Sporting Organisation (SSO), Golf NSW will be administering the fund on behalf of the NSW Office of Sport.
The funds may be used for fixed costs incurred between March and June 2020, where you have not already received financial assistance or relief from local, state or Commonwealth governments or others.
Payments can be used for fixed costs such as:
- Affiliation Fees
- Insurances
- Power
- Telephone and Internet
- Fixed vehicle or equipment costs (lease, registration)
Other base operating costs including:
- EFTPOS and banking fees
- IT support arrangements
- Essential equipment
To receive this special one-off payment, Clubs are simply required to complete a brief online questionnaire/survey. The survey will take less than 10 minutes to complete.
Before starting the survey, have your club’s ABN or Incorporation Number handy, as well as the Club’s bank details.
