A young lady at age 13 has won this year’s Goodwill Plate. Matilda Sullings of Federal Golf Club in the ACT had an 82 off the stick for the Goodwill Plate event at her club. At the time, Matilda had a handicap of 15, which gave her a nett score of 67, eight strokes under the Federal GC scratch rating. Matilda won the 2019 event by one stroke ahead of Mona Vale’s Di Matheson who scored a nett 68, seven strokes under the scratch rating at Mona Vale.

The Women’s Goodwill Plate is a special annual competition to raise funds for donation to a Charity recommended by the Board of Golf NSW.
The Competition is an 18-hole stroke handicap event for mid-week and weekend, open to female amateurs who hold a current Australian or overseas equivalent handicap. The State Winner is determined by the number of strokes (if any) the nett result is under the scratch rating of the course on the day of play.
Long Reef pairing of Susan Phillips and Judy Gietz ran away with the NSW Bowl for 2019, scoring an impressive score of 50 points and to win the event by one point. On 49 points there were three other pairings, New South Wales Golf Club, Werris Creek Golf Club, and Woollahra Golf Club.Phillips and Gietz not only won the Women’s NSW Bowl, but they have also earnt their spot in the Women’s NSW Open Pro-Am, which is being held at Dubbo Golf Club on Wednesday, February 26, 2020. Congratulations Susan, Judy and all players who contributed to the event.
