It’s being billed as the most exciting tournament in Australian junior golf, and it’s set to hit the fairways at Cronulla Golf Club next month.
The Junior 6’s Invitational will get underway at at the Sutherland Shire Layout on October 6th and will feature the cream of Australias under 18 talent.
The two-day tournament will see 36 boys and 36 girls vying for the inaugural crown, with a place in the AVJennings NSW Open and Worrell’s Women’s NSW Open on offer for the winners.

Current Australian Junior Champions, Elvis Smylie and Hye Park will be showcasing their talents, as well as several other leading junior golfers from around the nation, including local favourite Harrison Crowe & one of Queensland’s brightest female junior talents, Cassie Porter.
The brainchild of Cronulla local and Tour winner Ewan Porter, the format will see competitors play 36 holes Strokeplay (18 holes Monday & 18 holes Tuesday).
The top eight boys & girls will then move into to 6’s matchplay on Tuesday afternoon – a format similar to the Australasian Tour’s World Super 6 event in Perth.
The official launch of the 2019 Junior 6’s Invitational tournament took place on Monday at Cronulla Golf Club, and Porter was on hand to see his idea burst into life.
“It takes a lot more than a single person’s aspirations to create any golf tournament, let alone the unique nature of the Junior 6’s Invitational.
“The support shown from all of our Industry & corporate partners has ensured that we have built a foundation from which the potential for this tournament knows no bounds,” Porter said.
The Junior 6’s Invitational be held on October 7th & 8th, 2019 at Cronulla Golf Club. While the field is limited to 36 boys and 36 girls, EOI Entries are still being accepted for any Juniors who wish to enter (subject to tournament entry criteria)
