Yenda Golf Club is a 12-holes grass greens course in Western Riverina. The course is open to the public. All members and guests, players without an official handicap are welcome.
The course is an interesting layout with water and trees to avoid. There is a thin covering of kikuyu grass on the short tree-lined fairways with slow bent grass greens.
Yenda is a small farming town 17 kilometres from Griffith. It is home to Casella Wines, makers of the famous Yellow Tail label. Yenda Golf Club is just a few minutes from the town.
Sunday tee off normally is at 7:30am during daylight savings and 8:00am during the winter months. Tuesdays is when the Yenda Vets take to the course. They tee off between 8:30am and 9:00am.
- Monthly Medal Round – First Sunday of each month (stroke event)
- Guzzlers Mug – Second Sunday of each month (stableford event)
- Veterans (over 55) – Tuesday 7:30am start single stableford event
- Weekly Chicken run – all players welcome; can be played anytime during the week.
Players without an official handicap are welcome to play in the weekly Chicken run. If you do not have an official Golf Link handicap for a nine-hole competition, the club will allocate one for the event. It is a great way to get into golf in a semi-formal way.
