Worrigee Links Golf Course is an 18-hole par 70 links-style layout on the Greenwell point round just south of Nowra, about a 2 hour drive south from Sydney.
Framed by the nearby Camberwarra and Coolangatta mountains, Worrigee Links is relatively new facility. Since opening in 2005, it has quickly established itself as one of the nicest layouts on the on NSW South Coast.
While not terribly long at 5377 metres, there are enough challenging holes. Well placed fairway bunkers, large undulating greens.
Worrigee Links Golf Course’s par five 7th, is the courses signature hole. A dogleg left with water running all the way to the green, it requires a well struck drive to carry the hazard. The second shot needs to avoid the same hazards before golfers face a blind shot to the green.
Other highlights include:
- The 2nd: A 202 metre par three and the hardest hole on the course. Water short and left, the green is well protected with a well placed bunker and mounds for the shot which comes up short.
- The 10th: A dogleg par four with a double green (shared by the 15th) guarded by a trio of bunkers.
