Werris Creek Golf Club is a 9-hole golf course about 20 kilometres North East of Quirindi. Its natural asset, Werris Creek, runs through the course on the way to town. It has nine tiny black oiled scrapes with no bunkers.
The club offers hall for hire, has a fully licensed bar, gaming area, BBQ area and swing set for kids. Club trading hours are Wednesday 4pm-7pm, Friday 4pm-late, Sunday 10:30am-6pm. A 9-hole round of golf is $5.00 (honesty box).
Werris Creek is Australia’s first and last Railway town and home to the multi-award winning Australian Railway Monument & Rail Journeys Museum. The active railway station is Australia’s third largest, following Sydney Central and Newcastle.
