Walwa Golf Club is a nine-hole sand scrape course located on the banks of the Murray River in Upper Murray.
The course consists of nine irrigated fairways, 18 distinct tees and sand scrapes. The course is not long, however it has a very challenging layout. It is on the boundary of the Great River Road on one side and the might Murray River on the other.
Open 12 months of the year with very good couch fairways that are dormant in winter and look a picture during growing season.
Active volunteers manage and maintain the picturesque Walwa Golf Course. The course is open to visitors who are most welcome at all times except Tournament days.
The clubhouse is generally only open when competitions are being held. The course is always open. Place green fees in the Honesty Box located on the wall of the clubhouse at the Eastern end of the building. Walwa Golf Club relies on the honesty of green fee paying visitors.
Hire clubs are available from the Jingellic Store.
There are many accommodation options available to suit any visitor; there are camping, free camping, hotels, cabins and cottages. You can stand on the tee watching and listening to the Murray River flow by while looking across to the free camp ground behind the Bridge Hotel Jingellic on the NSW side.
Come and play a round or two at the hidden gem.
