Trundle is a small rural town in Parkes Shire in the Central West of New South Wales. It is about 55 kms northwest of Parkes on “The Bogan Way.”
If you are looking to capture a classic photo of a country town, look no further than Trundle. Just minutes away from the golf course, picture yourself standing on the New South Wales’ widest main street (60 metres), next to the second longest wooden veranda in Australia!
The famous veranda belongs to the Heritage Listed Trundle Hotel renovated in 1909 (originally opened in 1888). The two-story hotel was built out of pise mud, rendered with cement and adorned with an 87 metre long wooden veranda. The hotel offers a great spot for a drink, counter meal, or accommodation.
The Trundle Services & Citizens Club also offers accommodation and has a Chinese Restaurant and offers great meal choices. Trundle Showground offers both camping and caravan sites. There is also a Trundle Bed & Breakfast and the Trundle Inn.
