Trangie Golf Club is an 18 hole black soil greens golf course. The Club has been around since 1911 and is part of the Western District and Western District Ladies Golf Associations.
Trangie is located in the Orana Region in the NSW’s central west in Narromine Shire. The town is about 34km west of Narromine and 71 kms from Dubbo on the Mitchell Highway.
Trangie Golf Club hosts regular open events for men, ladies and vets, charity and corporate events. To view the program details contact the Club.
Volunteers are crucial to help maintain the course. They often roll up their sleeves and help the groundsman with the course to get sand on the greens, spread some oil and mow the course. There are no bunkers; some short trees lining the fairways.
Some things to do when in town are to visit the Wungunja Cultural Centre, drive out to the Gin Gin Weir to do some fishing or have a picnic, paddle on the river just out of Trangie, take a tour of the Cotton Gin, take a walk back in time around Trangie.
The family-friendly club often invites members’ families and friends for a post event BBQ, fun and games. They have a cracker of a good time enjoying great company, food, beer and golf.
