Tipperary Golf Club is a nine hole sand greens course located in Young, less than two hour’s drive from Canberra and four hours from Sydney.
Known as the Cherry Capital of Australia, Tipperary is the largest town in the Hilltops region. Surrounded by orchards, vineyards and olive groves, Young is a historic gold rush town famous for its delicious cherries.
Young is a handsome country town in a deep valley. It offers the full urban experience with comfy motels, B&B’s and self-catering accommodation as well as a central caravan park.
Part of the South West District, the club is normally open until 5:30pm; during Daylight Saving it closes at 8:00pm.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Tipperary Golf Club has developed into a community asset for all members and the public to enjoy. It started from humble beginnings, but with members’ help, the club continually grows with added features, most recently a new sprinkler system and further plans to upgrade the roads on premise thanks to a NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund.
The members are what make Tipperary Golf Club fantastic. Operated by volunteers, Tipperary is a club with a big heart. The club gives back where it can by holding charity golf days and fundraisers.
Competitions are held twice a week with social comps on Sunday mornings. Tipperary Golf Club welcomes all visitors.
