The Rock Golf Club is an 18 hole sand green golf course located at the foot of Rock Hill near The Rock Nature Reserve. The area is known as “the Lion of the Plains” and Kengal Aboriginal Place, one of the best known landmarks in the Riverina.
The club has a rich history. Founded in April 1914, it became a foundation member of the Riverina Golf Association in 1925. On 9 May 1936 the Associates celebrated their official opening.
The Rock is a pretty town and the eastern gateway to Lockhart Shire located about 25kms south of Wagga Wagga, just off the Olympic Highway. Rock Hill frames the character of the town.
The Rock Golf Club hosts mixed open competitions on Sundays, Wednesday ladies competitions, and Friday Veterans. The club prides itself on being the best sand greens course in Riverina.
