Taralga Golf Club

Taralga Golf Club, also known as Taralga Sands Golf Club, is located in a small character-filled town near Goulburn, NSW. The club is set in the picturesque historic town surrounded by wide open spaces.

It is about three hours from Sydney and an easy 90-minute drive from Canberra.

The nine-hole golf course has sand greens and is a great place to enjoy a round of golf. Both the front and the back nine tees are the same length. The course has no bunkers. The club has basic golf facilities with an honesty box.

Taralga Golf Club has been around since 1985. The course is maintained by a group of volunteers. Club dedicated members encourage juniors golfers to develop their skills and welcome visitors.

The novelty of the sand greens at the Taralga provides an opportunity to attract tourists to the town. Another attraction Taralga Golf Club prides itself on is the ‘world’s smallest clubhouse (pictured below).’

While in Taralga explore the region’s rich history, a town developed by convicts in the mid-1800s. It is also forty-minutes away from the 430-million-year-old wonder, the Wombeyan Caves.

Stay in one of the historic country pubs, motels, cottages, holiday homes and camp grounds close to the Cave.

The sand greens course is a great place to enjoy a round of golf – whether you are a serious player, or just want to have some fun.
