If you are looking for great golf in the heart of Australia’s Country Music Capital, Tamworth Golf Club is the place for you.
The 6047 metre Par 70 course is generous off the tee and, water comes into play on a couple of holes. The well maintained bunkers are reasonably shallow, and the lightly sloping greens are always in excellent condition.
Both nines at Tamworth feature a good variety of both long and short holes. There are a couple of genuine 500 metre plus par fives and two par threes in excess of 170 metres.
The pick of the course is probably the club’s 6th, with water from the huge dam coming into play.
Competitions run daily at Tamworth, and the club offers competitions over nine or 18 holes. Something is on everyday.
Tamworth Golf Club runs several competitions throughout the year and also provides support for local charities and businesses through fundraising golf days.
Visitors are always welcome and the Pro Shop can assist with entries.
