Nyngan Golf Club is a well-maintained sand greens golf course in a town which sits alongside the Bogan River. The rural town is on the edge of Outback NSW. The 18 hole course is located on the western edge of Nyngan, on the banks of the river.
Nyngan is home to a rich agricultural heritage, interesting museums and the well-known Big Bogan statue. Whether you are looking for an outback experience or a place to escape the hectic pace of city life, we hope that a visit to Bogan Shire will show you what “Comfortable Country Living” is all about.
The club and course are open all year round to both members, social golfers and visitors. Competitions are held most Saturdays and Sundays. Ladies and anyone who wants a game also play Wednesday mornings with a very social feel.
Nyngan has mostly watered fairways and the sand greens are a little quicker than most.
It is a challenging course with two very different nines. The front is a little bit more open after the first three holes. The back nine has mostly tree lined fairways and can be a challenge for golfers of all abilities.
Due to the location and climate, it can be a challenge to keep the course in great condition all the time, with drought and floods affecting it on multiple occasions over the years.
Nyngan Golf Club is a friendly club and welcomes new players and visitors. There is an Honesty Box in place at the Clubhouse if not open.
