Mungindi Golf Club is and 18-hole sand greens course located in a unique town which sits on the border of both NSW and QLD along the Barwon River. Mungindi is the only border town in the Southern Hemisphere with the same name in two states. It sits atop the Carnarvon Highway which links Melbourne with Darwin.
The town is the connecting point of four Shires – 120kms north west of Moree Plains (NSW), Walgett (NSW), 120 km south of St George (QLD) and 150km south west of Goondiwindi (QLD).
Like many country communities, the club is very much a part of the fabric. It is a place for many locals to get away from their day-to-day realities they face. Mungindi Golf Club is a welcoming oasis for the local golfing community, their friends and families.
While in Mungindi, be sure to “take the waters” relaxing in the hot Artesian spa at the local pool complex. Rest and relax in the 38 degrees mineral-rich, naturally filtered thermal artesian waters.
Places to stay include camping on the riverbank or in the caravan park to motel-style rooms.
Mungindi Golf Club is open to everyone – beginners to experienced. Come and give it a go! Visit the Mungindi’s Facebook page for upcoming events.
