Maitland Golf Club – Easts Leisure & Golf is located just off Raymond Terrace Road on Tenambit Street in East Maitland. The 18-hole championship golf course is one of the best in NSW outside the metropolitan area. It strikes the perfect balance offering a challenge to golf enthusiasts, yet provides a relaxing stroll through native bushland and natural wetlands.
The course has developed over more than one hundred years into a mix of magnificent three-lined holes; eight feature water hazards that flow from One Mile Creek and strategically placed dams.
Every hole at Easts has a rich history of deeds past and these feats seem to get better every year. The course is Australia’s 14th oldest golf club which was established on 12 June 1899. Golf is still played on the original site.
Water comes into play on many holes, particularly the back nine. The gentle undulating course is a haven for wildlife.
Golf at Maitland is value packed with green fees and hire belying the quality of the course and Clubhouse. Due to this, bookings and enquiries of course availability are essential to avoid disappointment.
Golf competitions are held throughout the year. Visitors are welcome to participate in most competition rounds. However, some rules exist for major events and where there is shorter daylight hours.
