The Hay Bowling & Golf Club includes “The Golf Club,” a private function centre overlooking the golf course and river. Hay Golf Club is located on the southern banks of the Murrumbidgee River, close to the vast Hay Plains; one of the flattest plains on earth.
Hay Golf Club was home to the 2018 NSW Sand Green Championships. It was a great golfing event showcasing the wonderful 18 hole sand greens golf course.
Competitions, e.g. Veterans, Sunday, and Ladies, are held regularly during daylight savings. Golf times can vary with daylight saving and different seasons.
The Golf Club is also a popular venue for functions, social activities, bowling greens and children’s retreat and includes a Chinese Restaurant. The Club is open seven days a week for members and guests. They have a BBQ area near the huge outdoor deck next to the riverbank.
The Sturt, Cobb and Mid Western highways converge on Hay, which is halfway between Sydney and Adelaide and five hours’ drive north of Melbourne.
Known as the flattest landscape in the Southern Hemisphere, the iconic Hay Plains are a bucket list destination. Sunsets, camping, fishing, history and heritage – Hay, the plains are calling. Hay! the plains are calling.
Visitors are welcome to Hay Golf Club.
