Eastlake Golf Club is located in Sydney’s eastern suburbs; within ten minutes from the CBD and Kingsford Smith Airport. The links style course suits any grade golfer and is easily accessible from anywhere in Sydney.
Eastlake is amongst Sydney’s three most prestigious private sand belt courses – The Australia, The Lakes and Bonnie Doon. Unlike its neighbouring courses, Eastlake Golf Club is not a private club. It is open to members and the community.
The course is moderate at 5,812 metres. Eastlake’s par 72 layout hides some of its distance in elevation changes. Designed on two narrow strips of land, the sandy soil, wetlands, and flat sections, mixed with undulations sidles past its more vaunted golf neighbours.
Eastlake Golf Club has a rich history. Eighty years on the club is also known as one of the more progressive golf clubs in Sydney. It offers equal rights for men and women, structured in a non-traditional manner which improves the focus on the member, the golfer, the visitor, the course, the facilities, the service levels, and the business.
The golf club has been host to the Australian Golf Writers championships 2010, 2011, and 2012, as well as many other notable events including the Australian Junior Championships and qualifying venue for the NSW Open.
