Beresfield Golf course near Newcastle is an 11-hole public course and also the home of FootGolf in the Hunter, a hybrid game of soccer on the golf course. It is also home to a new Mini Golf course.
Located at the western gateway to Newcastle on land bounded by the New England Highway to the south and Anderson Drive, Beresfield is easy to get to from all points of the compass.
Most of the greens are unprotected by bunkers or other hazards, while the fairways are lined with only small trees with very little undergrowth.
Together this provides a large amount of forgiveness on those wild drives and misjudged approaches. An average golfer can quite easily come away with 5-6 pars from the 11 holes.
Course Green fees are inexpensive and the club offers a complete range of hire equipment including clubs carts and Buggies.
In addition to regular golf, Beresfield has a range of multi golf fun passes available, which include Golf for the family, min golf & footgolf, Mini golf and 11 holes, or the triple play offer of 11 holes, mini golf and foot golf.
Beresfield Ladies Golf Club is one of only three stand-alone women’s clubs in NSW.
When the Beresfield Golf Course opened in 1983, then Professional Mr Rick McLean helped start a Ladies Golf Club. Six years later Captain Mrs Noelene Terry initiated its affiliation as a golf club which grew to 70 members by 1989.
Beresfield Ladies Golf Club is a friendly little club that meet every Thursday for competition. Visitors are welcome.
