The Community Golf Instructor Program is an Australian Sports Commission National Coaching Accreditation Scheme approved program.

A collaboration between the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) of Australia and Golf Australia, the Program provides accredited training for individuals wanting to become an instructor or facilitator of a national participation program.

Designed to grow the sport through the development volunteer instructors at grassroots level, The long-term vision is to have accredited instructors working alongside PGA Professionals delivering nationally recognised programs at courses, driving ranges and schools.

The Community Golf instructor Program includes generalised foundation training before a candidate undertakes specialised training in modules which align with national programs like MyGolf.

Completed online, the community golf instructor program is facilitated through the PGA’s e-learning platform – The Fairway.

With the transition to an online training portal, the program will be fully accessible and deliver consistency across Australia.

*The Community Golf Instructor Program replaces the Community Coach Program.
